Ryan is an Army National Guard Veteran and an Associate Director of Production for Veterans United, a VA Loan lender nationally headquartered in Columbia, Missouri. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and attended Officer Candidate School with the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He began his business career working at a local depository bank and then transitioned into the mortgage industry in 2001. After gaining experience in conventional mortgages, he transferred to a career in the VA Mortgage Loan industry in 2007. Ryan helped Veterans qualify for their VA home loan benefits and now directly supports and manages a team of employees who help Veterans in the same way. He has been in the VA loan industry for over 15 years and is a Board Member of the Veterans United Foundation.
Ryan enlisted in the Army National Guard in early 2006 as a logistician. In late 2006, he began Officer Candidate School and graduated in 2008. Ryan graduated on the Commandant’s List as an Ordnance Officer from Fort Lee, VA in 2010 and then became the Executive Officer (1LT) for his unit in Fulton, MO. Other areas of service and training include Fort Jackson, SC, Camp Dodge, IA, Salina, KS and Fort Lewis, WA. He is a recipient of the Army Achievement Medal and transitioned out of the National Guard in 2014.
Ryan works with employees who are the first interaction with Veterans seeking help and guidance regarding their VA home loan benefit. This helps them communicate better with Veterans needing assistance in qualifying for their VA Loan benefit and provide a memorable and unique experience. Ryan is also a co-host for a podcast used in his company to provide knowledge and best practices to employees. He occasionally does radio and television ad voicework. Residing in central Missouri, he and his wife, Kristin, have three young children. Faith is a central part of their lives along with spending time making memories with family and friends. Ryan enjoys and focuses on the art of communication, helping others succeed and moving any needles he can in a positive direction.
