Carroll Harris is a veteran and first responder advocate, speaker, facilitator, author, and retired federal law enforcement executive who serves as the Executive Director of Guardian Hills. He is dedicated to helping veterans, first responders, and those who serve find connection, resilience, purpose, and community beyond the uniform.
At Guardian Hills, Carroll is committed to creating transformational experiences that strengthen individuals, families, and communities through leadership, service, personal growth, and authentic human connection. His work is rooted in the belief that healing, growth, and purpose are lifelong journeys best pursued together in community.
Carroll brings more than 35 years of service leadership experience spanning military service, federal law enforcement, mentorship, and community engagement. He began his federal law enforcement career in 2004 as a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration before transitioning to the United States Postal Inspection Service in 2008. Throughout his career, he served in investigative and executive leadership roles across the country, ultimately retiring as the Inspector in Charge of the Los Angeles Division, where he oversaw one of the nation’s largest and most complex field divisions.
In addition to his federal service, Carroll served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1990 to 2020, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years of military service, including multiple active-duty mobilizations and a combat deployment.
Throughout his life and career, Carroll has remained deeply committed to supporting veterans, first responders, and communities of service. He has become known for his ability to inspire, connect, and lead others through mission-driven leadership, storytelling, mentorship, and service-focused initiatives that help people rediscover meaning, belonging, and hope.
Today, Carroll continues to dedicate his life to uplifting others and helping people live with courage, purpose, and positive impact.
